Study says Mariah Carey has the most clever lyrics; Beyoncé and Kesha the worst

Mariah Carey stands out as a composer in research.

Have you ever stopped to question the degree of intelligence of your favorite music? But know that was recently released a study showing the ranking, by gender, of the letters of the songs "sophisticated" and more "stupid". The result might not even please you, but it has proven foundation. Understand how the study was designed.
The analytical basis of site about sports and entertainment "SeatSmarts" did the survey using as a basis the "readability-score" tool that shows the reading grade level starting from a small text. - In this case the lyrics.
225 bands were analyzed according to the number of weeks in which they passed the top of the US charts of Billboard, regardless of the year or style. It is important to clarify that the data does not interfere with the meaning of the music, the connection to the artist's personal life, among others. Are number just for curiosity. See the result:
In seven hip-hop artists surveyed in the "intelligent music," Beyoncé bitter the last place, followed by Chris Brown, Kanye West and Drake. The first places are in order rappers Eminem, Nicki Minaj and Macklemore.
In the category pop, Mariah Carey is the champion, followed by Adele and Justin Timberlake. Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga and Kesha are to last, and the singer of "Animal" is the worst of all surveyed artists.
At the end of the study, questions whether the site do not need to be more critical about that judge a little more current composers, but in the end there is nothing wrong with being 'silly' time.

Mariah Carey: ''Eat Your Heart Out Nick I'm Not Coming Back!''

Mariah Carey is clearly influenced by a much younger singer, because she's saying she'll never ever ever get back together with Nick Cannon.
But sources connected with Mariah tell TMZ, she's out of that game. She likes Nick, but there's no chance of a romantic reconciliation.
She's not in the market for anyone right now. Mariah has a residency in Vegas that's just weeks away. She's also into raising the twins. When she's not working she goes to Eleuthera, her private Island in the Bahamas.
It looks like she may have a case of post breakup hotness, right?

Nick Cannon On Mariah Carey: 'That Will Always Be The Love of My Life'

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey recently spent Easter together after going their separate ways last year. And now Cannon admits that Carey will always have a special place in his heart.
"It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too," he says on an episode of the Meredith Vieira Show airing Monday (Apr. 20) after being asked about a TMZvideo where he addressed if he and Mariah might reconcile in the future.
He now says "I shouldn't have said nothing" (he did tease that it was a possibility) admitting that "through this learning process, you never say never. To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, my family and that's never going to change."
In previews posted online ahead of Monday's episode, Cannon went on to say that he's learned a lot from having to deal with the split in the public eye. And those lessons come from the way Carey has handled the very public break-up.
"It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved," he says. "They want to make up stuff and create things. You kind of get to that place where, I've always been the most open and honest person but I understand kind of playing it close to the vest because when you start to feed into it and there are so many false items and people just want to speculate then you don't want to say anything at all."
He continued, "That's one thing I actually admire Mariah because she is professional. You ain't going to get nothing out of her. I was like you know what, I'm learning. I'm learning."

SHOWBIZZ: Mariah Carey’s Got a Hit Single Coming April 27, And It Won’t Make Nick Cannon Happy

Nick Cannon was quoted in some tabloid last week saying he wasn’t opposed to getting back together with Mariah Carey. Well, he may be when he hears her new single, “Infinity,” scheduled for release on April 27th. I heard it on Wednesday, and I can tell you that after her crazy last album on DefJam and all those singles that didn’t work like “You’re Mine” and “#beautiful,” Mariah is back in droves.
“Infinity” is at the same time old school R&B and right on the money for NOW. L.A. Reid has encouraged her back into the department of lyrics that mean something to her. Not only does “Infinity” tell a story– which most people will infer is about her and Nick–the song also has a great melody, a real hook you won’t forget, and Mariah hitting a very high, sustained note that is her and her alone.
The gist of the song is that “Infinity isn’t forever” and she wants the man who is the subject of the song out of her home and her life this minute. It’s a very witty lyric written by Mariah with a team including writer-producer Eric Hudson, who has a long resume for age 28. (Also his parents wrote Madonna’s classic hit “Holiday.”)
“Infinity” is the kind of song, in fact, where audiences will be singing along in shows. Mariah is getting ready to film a video for it this weekend with Brett Ratner. From the lyrics, I’d say there will be a lot of glass smashing, maybe doors with guest mats where the subject of the song is told to leave Mariah’s heart. She can also be heard laughing on the track, which is a hoot and a half.
So get ready. Mariah is coming back to the charts. And it’s going to be fun!

Mariah Carey’s rumored new single “Infinity” set to release on April 27th!

The one and only Mariah Carey is ready to start her anticipated residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, scheduled to be opened on May 6. Before that the Instagram queen plans to debut her brand new single, rumored to be called “Infinity“.
The song was produced by Bryan Michael Cox, who has worked with Mariah in her acclaimed “The Emancipation of Mimi“, and is the first taste of the updated version of Carey’s first compilation album “#1’s“, which will be released in May.
The singer shared a photo on her Twitter with the hashtag #Infinity, which she is seen in front of the letters of Sony Music. This marks her official return back to the label Epic Records afte leaving Universal Music Group’s Def Jam Recording early this year.
In the photo she is with Epic’s boss L.A. Reid and the representative of The Chamber Group, Chris Chambers. Furthermore, Mariah also visits the office of American producer Joey Arbagey, who has worked with her in remixes for “All I Want For Christmas Is You“, “Obsessed” and “Triumphant“.
According to sources close to the record label, “Infinity” is scheduled to be released on digital retailers on 27 April 2015.

Mariah Carey Christmas movie in the works at New Line

Deck the halls and break out the mistletoe, a Mariah Carey Christmas movie is in the works. Producer Jonathan Shestack confirmed Tuesday that New Line Cinema is developing the untitled project, which he will co-produce alongside Mariah’s BFF Brett Ratner.
“It’s a little bit about how music can take you back in time,” he told EW. “It will be everything you hope a Christmas movie with Mariah Carey would be.”
David Diamond and David Weissman, the writers behind The Family Man, were also tapped for the film, and James Packer and John Cheng of RatPac Entertainment will executive produce. The soundtrack will feature plenty of high notes from the pop diva who, according to Shestack, “is like the empress of Christmas.”
